Description:
In honor of the late Henry B. Plant, The Plant Park Memorial Fountain is the centre of a memorial park and is placed so that all passengers on the railroad trains may see this memorial of the great railroad builder of Florida. The Plant Park Memorial Fountain is a two tiered fountain is made of cast iron and stands about 14 feet high. The fountain is topped with a three foot heron with its wings spread. The water flows from between the heron peak. The water flows in to the upper tier. From the upper tier the water flows from the month of a mythical beast at each side of the eight sided tier. The lower tier has the same design as the upper tier, only larger. The water flows from the lower tier in to a circular pool at the base of the fountain. Each tier is supported by a round pedestal that flairs at the bottom and tappers toward the top. Each part of the fountain is covered with an intricately detailed design.
