2021 Miss & Mr. 4th of July Pageant

LOCATION:
St. Marys Middle School
Proceeds benefit Camden County FFA Alumni & Supporters Association, which is the local organization that supports the FFA chapters at Camden County High School, Camden Middle, and St. Marys Middle.
THIS PAGEANT IS OPEN TO GIRLS, BOYS, WOMEN, AND MEN! You do not have to reside in Camden County, Georgia to participate. There will be a Sunday Best side and Glitz side for Baby Miss, Toddler Miss, Wee Miss, Tiny Miss, and Little Miss. All other age groups will be glitz only.
The doors will open at 9:30 a.m. and a finalized time schedule will be shared the week of the pageant. This schedule will be composed based on the number of contestants. The first age division will begin at 10 a.m.
Contestants are asked to arrive at least 15 minutes before their division begins, ready to line up. WE WILL NOT WAIT FOR LATECOMERS. Check in at the registration desk upon arrival to receive your number.
There will be a dressing room provided for female contestants and possibly male contestants as well. Due to limited space, only one parent or guardian will be allowed in the dressing/holding room to assist the contestants get ready. No males are allowed in the female rooms and no females are allowed in the male rooms.
It’s best to have your hair and make-up done in advance. However, we will have a professional hair stylist available on-site for contestant appointments. With our event location TBD, we are unable to allow additional stylists to have access to the dressing room at this time.
After checking in at the registration desk, contestants should report to the holding room until a pageant committee member escorts them to the stage. Immediately upon completion of his/her stage walk, each contestant should report back to the holding room until further direction. Crowning will take place at the conclusion of age division groups.
The pageant committee will follow current COVID-19 safety precautions in place at the time of the event. This includes, but is not limited to, wearing masks and social distancing.
ADMISSION:
The contestant and his/her mother or guardian will be admitted for FREE. Adult admission is $5, children (pre-K through 12th grades) admission is $3. Children under school age are FREE.
WINNERS:
There will be a winner (Queen, Prince, or King) and two-runners up, as well as the People’s Choice Queen, in each division. Division Queens/Princes or Kings will receive a division crown, a trophy, and a sash. Runners-up will receive a trophy. People’s Choice Queens will receive a crown. Qualified judges will be used and their decisions will be final.
*At this time, we will not be conducting a People’s Choice Prince/King.
**With 5 contestants in each Miss and Mr. divisions, the Queen and King will each receive a $300 scholarship!
***On the Sunday Best side of the pageant, a Prettiest Smile and Prettiest Eyes title will be awarded in each female age division. On the Glitz side of the pageant, a Prettiest Dress and Prettiest Hair title will be awarded in each female age division.
PEOPLE’S CHOICE QUEEN:
The People’s Choice Queen will go to the female contestant who receives the most Best Wishes votes in her age division. Each vote is $1 and proceeds go the the Camden FFA Alumni & Supporters Association. We will accept Best Wishes through pageant day until each age division’s start time. Start now by asking your family and friends to support you by donating money in Best Wishes votes. We will have the ability to accept credit card payments at the registration desk on the day of the pageant.
PARADE:
Winners are encouraged to participate in the Independence Day Festival Parade on July 3 at 10 a.m. For more information, including obtaining the Parade Entry Form, visit the Kiwanis Club of St. Marys website at www.SMKiwanis.com.
NO REHEARSAL:
There will not be a rehearsal. A diagram of the pageant room is provided below. There will be floor markers at the facility to indicate where each contestant should pause during his/her walk.

TIPS FOR PAGEANT ATTIRE:
SUNDAY BEST:
Sunday Best dresses are holiday or special occasion dresses. No pageant dresses, make-up, hairpieces, extensions, flippers, false eyelashes, or spray tans are allowed. (If the contestant is competing in Sunday Best and Glitz, a spray tan is allowed in the Sunday Best side.)
Baby Miss Division (0 – 11 months) / Toddler Miss Division (1 – 2 years) / Wee Miss Division (3 – 4 years):
Dresses with rhinestones are not allowed. Dresses with sequins are allowed.
Tiny Miss Division (5 – 7 years) / Little Miss Division (8 – 10 years):
Dresses can have embellishment, rhinestones, sequins, or illusion. Light make-up is allowed (mascara, lip gloss)
GLITZ (All age divisions):
Full make-up, fake hair, eyelashes, spray tan, etc. are all allowed. Pageant dresses are allowed in all age divisions on the Glitz side. Contestants can compete as semi-glitz or full glitz. Dresses can be short or long.
MALE DIVISIONS:
Male Divisions (Baby Prince, Tiny Prince, Little Prince, Prince, and Mr.): Suit, tuxedo, or pants/dress shirt – any color/style is allowed.
